Immunization requirements

The California School Immunization Law requires that children and attending adults be up-to-date on their immunizations (shots) to attend a child care, day nursery, nursery school, family day care home, or development center. These are required prior to starting school.

California vaccination requirements can be read here. You are welcome to download any documents on the site to share with your physician.

Influenza vaccine

SPNS must have proof of influenza vaccination from all staff and member adults, or a signed declination statement, by December 2 every year.

For free flu shot clinic locations in San Mateo County visit their website smchealth.org.

You can send a scan or copy of proof of immunization to: admin@spnskids.org, or put it in the red Registration box in the office.

If you choose not to get the influenza vaccination, SPNS requires a declination statement.

We do not require proof that children have received this vaccine.

Covid-19

At this time, the preschool is not requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Children and adults are highly recommended to be in the process of vaccination per CDPH recommendations. The preschool’s health and safety guide is provided to families at enrollment.

Exemptions from State vaccination requirements

Any medical exemptions for school and child care entry must be issued through CAIR-ME and submit proof of documentation to SPNS.
